Unless you actually read all of the credits while waiting for the customary post-credits scene, we won’t blame you for missing this one. In Guardians of the Galaxy, the future teammates are sent to space jail, where they encounter a hulking blue orc-like alien who tries to bully Star-Lord. Luckily, Groot steps in and shoves his arm-roots straight up the alien’s nose.
The alien’s voice was heavily disguised – and his body was completely CGI – but that’s actually Firefly’s Nathan Fillion! Director James Gunn probably brought him on because Fillion starred in comedy-horror flick Slither, which Gunn also directed.
