What makes Deadpool stand out from a very crowded pack is that he’s the only hero who’s completely aware that he’s a character in a movie, making for some awesome fourth wall-breaking jokes. Possibly the best is the one involving the X-Men, or lack thereof.
During his visit to Charles Xavier’s mansion in Deadpool 2, while the Merc with a Mouth complains about the lack of any X-Men in his movies, we find out why – they’d just been avoiding him! Just behind him are James McAvoy’s Professor X, Evan Peters’s Quicksilver, and Nicholas Hoult’s Beast, among several others.
