Only one of Deadpool 2’s many cameos was so elaborate that not even the crew knew about it. When Cable first arrives in the present, he runs into two bumpkins arguing about toilet paper versus wet wipes.
One of them is clearly Alan Tudyk but the other, overweight and sporting tons of facial prosthetics and a fake beard, was credited as Dickie Greenleaf – a character in The Talented Mr. Ripley whose identity is stolen by Matt Damon’s Tom Ripley. Pretty random? Only until realizing that hillbilly IS Matt Damon, who surprised Ryan Reynolds by saying yes to the cameo.
