Zachary Levi, most famous for playing nerd-turned-secret agent Chuck, has the rare honor of appearing in both the Marvel and DC cinematic universes. Before playing superhero Shazam, Levi portrayed Asgardian warrior Fandral in Thor: The Dark World.
We’ll discuss his Thor: Ragnarok role, though, as he’s literally on the screen for seconds before being unceremoniously knifed by the villainess Hela. Usually, when actors find that out, they freak out. Levi, though, was thrilled, because it cleared his schedule up for Shazam. Still, his last words in the Marvel universe, “For Asgard!”, were left on the cutting room floor. Ouch.
