The holder of the Guiness World Record for “Most Hours on Camera” has been an important figure for media since before we were born. Regis Philbin, who started hosting talk and contest shows in the 60s, had gone through America’s Got Talent, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, and most recently, Live with Regis and Kelly by the time of his departure.
He left this world being 88 last year, for natural reasons. Although he had been battling his heart disease for long by then, he still seemed as charismatic as ever on camera.
