Jim Morrison was one of the reasons why The Doors was such a strong band in their era. They had all of the spectacle, wildness and attitude a rock fan could ask for, mixed with his amazing poetic lyrics and softness to shift the tone and leave a lasting impression.
Like many other rock stars from the past century, though, he passed away at the age of 27, supposedly from a heart attack. Many of his last-known photos were taken in Paris, alongside his partner Pamela Courson. He would say goodbye here in 1971.
