Many will remember Lucille Ball for her protagonist role in the show I Love Lucy, but in reality, there’s so much more to talk about her. Not only was she born to be a comedian and demonstrated it throughout her brilliant career; she was also a pretty creative producer who pioneered various techniques which are still seen in contemporary television.
Lucille earned her popularity as a celebrity icon. This photo of hers was taken at the Academy Awards barely a month before her passing. She suffered an aortic rupture at the age of 77.
