David Bowie enjoyed a struendruous fame throughout his prime, with numerous hits such as Starman, Rebel Rebel, and Life on Mars featuring one of the best vocals we’ve ever heard. Despite his fight against cancer — which ultimately took his life — the man’s music remained strong as ever up until the end.
He would die just two days after releasing his final album, Blackstar, who’s a one of its kind due to its allegories to Bowie’s own mortality. This photo was taken a year before, during the release of his musical Lazarus.
