Brittany Murphy stepped onto this red carpet event in 2009, not knowing it was going to be the last time people would see her alive. The actress was found in her bathroom after collapsing and suffering a heart attack.
Once she was checked out by a coroner, it was discovered that the reason she suffered a cardiac arrest was due to developing acute pneumonia and the amount of medication she took. Murphy was trying to fight off the illness, and it’s thought the mixture of medication she took is what caused her heart attack.
