Sharon Carter, the ex-CIA agent who’s been on the lam from her own government after helping Steve, Sam, and Bucky get their gear back in Captain America: Civil War, is shown to be back in New York during the final episode of TFATWS. To get around that whole “wanted by everyone” thing, she wears a hi-tech mask that not only changes her face but also masks her voice.
That disguise, called a nano mask or a photostatic veil, made its first appearance in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, when Natasha/Black Widow used one to pose as Council Member Hawley and infiltrate a World Security Council meeting.
