There’s one running gag in TFATWS that’s as odd as it is potentially revealing. While Avengers: Endgame shows Steve Rogers to be an old man, his exact whereabouts – or fate – aren’t known. Some TFATWS characters cagily refer to him as “gone,” which is pretty ambiguous, while others have different theories.
In episode one, Sam’s Air Force sidekick Joaquín Torres says he thought Rogers was on the moon. In the last episode, when Sam announces he’s the new Captain America, another guy says he thought Cap was chilling there. While Steve (probably) isn’t, we may not have seen the last of him in the MCU…
