[post_page_title]White Wolf’s lineage[/post_page_title]
When Sam and Bucky are sneaking around in episode two, Sam jokes that after spending a little time in Wakanda, Bucky emerged the “White Panther.” Ever humorless, Bucky corrects him that it’s actually “White Wolf.”
Bucky did indeed spend time recuperating in Wakanda after Civil War, and Black Panther’s end-credits scene shows local children nicknaming him White Wolf – a moniker repeated first by T’Challa in Infinity War and then in TFATWS itself by Ayo when she meets him later in the series. In the comics, incidentally, “White Wolf” was the name of a guy who crash-landed near Wakanda and was adopted by T’Chaka, T’Challa’s father.
