[post_page_title]Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely[/post_page_title]
When Lemar Hoskins and John Walker talk about taking the Super Soldier Serum after their first encounter with the Flag Smashers, Walker asks his friend whether he’d take the Serum if given a chance. Lemar replies that he absolutely would, as it only enhances a person’s traits – it doesn’t change who they are.
This is almost exactly what the Super Soldier program’s chief scientist Dr. Erskine told Steve Rogers in Captain America: The First Avenger. “Good becomes great. Bad becomes worse” – these turn out to be prophetic words for Walker, who takes the Serum and has it amplify all of his worst qualities as a result.
