Following Thanos’s well-meaning yet deranged plan is Baron Helmut Zemo. While indisputably bad, Zemo cloaks his motives in a sweet-talking façade.
“Turkish delight. Irresistible” – three simple words that told bookworms all they needed to know. Despite it being his son’s favorite treat, Zemo’s Turkish delight ploy has a history convincing children to turn on loved ones – it’s also the delicacy the evil witch Jadis gives to Edmund in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe to get him to betray his siblings.
