This might be our favorite easter egg in all of TFATWS. In episode two, Bucky manages to convince Sam to go consult Helmut Zemo on whether Hydra might be involved in the reappearance of people with Super Soldier powers. So off to Berlin our heroes decide to go, to visit Zemo who’s been imprisoned since Captain America: Civil War.
Then, just before the episode ends, we get security camera-like footage of Zemo in his cell. The cell number happens to be 2187 – made famous as Princess Leia’s cell number in Star Wars: A New Hope. Hey, they’re all one big happy corporate family now.
