Cold medicine can be harmful, if you abuse it and use it incorrectly. But so can any medication. It’s up to everyone to use medicine responsibly, and it’s definitely not up to a dollar general store to decide whether you are responsible enough or not.
We get that this gentleman was super offended that they assumed he was going to use cold medicine as an illegal substance, simply because he had long hair instead of short.
