Some people certainly get bold when they realize there will be no consequences for their actions – look at the audacity of these teenagers who regularly stole from this store, then came back to shop there, wearing the clothes they had just shoplifted.
The sales associates weren’t allowed to say anything; instead, they were instructed to “help them shop.” Sounds weird to us, but after reading that other story about the woman who was caught shoplifting and threw a fit, maybe it does make sense?
