This is the reason why retail workers hate it when people waltz in two minutes before the doors are closed and have the audacity of saying, “yay I made it!” It’s like, “made” what? Made the workers mad, that’s what you made.
For a lot of retail employees, closing the doors doesn’t mean they’ll stop working; it just means the work will shift from selling to organizing, and for this person who consistently stayed two hours to clean every night, it was all too much.
