Forrest Gump’s mother used to say, “Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get,” but the same phrase could very well be adapted to describe people, as in, “people are like a box of chocolate.”
You never know how people are gonna be, and how they’re gonna react in different situations. For instance, the shoplifter in this story was called out, and we would have expected them to feel ashamed and leave quietly, but they did the exact opposite, having a fit of rage and destroying everything in front of her.
