Names are almost always a way of writers referencing something. Any fan of Harry Potter will know that you can almost immediately tell whether someone is a good or a bad guy based on their name. (C’mon, Voldemort? Does it get any more evil sounding than that?) That’s not really true in Marvel movies, though.
But you can still take some info from names. For instance, we have the character President Ellis from Iron Man 3. His name is mostly inconsequential, aside from the fact that it is probably taken from Warren Ellis, an Iron Man comic book author.
