Mantis is a very cooky character – raised alone on Ego’s planet, she never had much human interaction or any sort of fighting training. So when she joined the Guardians of the Galaxy, she needed to learn on the fly.
The sharp eyed will be able to tell the unique fighting style that she’s adopted, that is also a reference to her name: in Avengers Infinity War, Mantis holds her hands like a praying mantis when sneaking on Thanos.
