We all know that Marvel likes their inside jokes and references, but this one takes it up a few notches and is only for the truly devoted fans: In Stan Lee’s cameo during Captain Marvel, he is seen reading a script and practicing his lines for the movie Mallrats: a film that featured Stan Lee cameo as well.
Mallrats was released in 1995, and not very coincidentally, that’s the same year in which the movie Captain Marvel takes place.
