In Avengers Infinity War, the Black Panther’s suit stores kinetic energy that is gathered by punches thrown at him and objects hitting him. He can later release the energy in a single, powerful blow.
That stored energy takes the form of a purple glow lining the suit. During the Battle of Wakanda, Thanos hits Black Panther so hard that the suit can’t store the punche’s energy and it explodes under T’chala when he hits the ground.
