In point of fact, no small amount of progress on the restoration project has been made thanks to materials handsomely donated by various benefactors. In the process of rebuilding Jameswood’s front wall, a few of the stones were a little worse for wear and needed to be replaced.
After doing some research, they were able to find someone willing to give away red sandstone they had left from building an extension to their own place. The pair picked them up, and after a few adjustments courtesy of the angle grinder they were good to go.
