Cal is English while Claire is Canadian, so they actually had to look Dunoon up on a map to see where their new home was. Happily, they got what they hoped was the first bit of good news, as it wasn’t far from Glasgow.
Since Claire planned to go to med school at Glasgow University, that seemed to work out well. During the auction, the manor, named Jameswood Villa, was described as needing “full upgrading throughout.” And it certainly looked as if it had seen better days…
