Jameswood presented a lot of surprising opportunities. Even though Cal is an expert carpenter, as is his dad, Claire’s never tried it… until Jameswood, that is. She started off by building a pretty average shelf to hold some tools, she was eventually able to tackle more complex job.
Take these battens on the roof, for instance. Since western Scotland sees some of the heaviest rainfall in all of the U.K., building regulations say these battens – allowing water to run off the roof – have to be used. And it was Claire’s job to put them down.
