Though this photo is kind of bad, it does show two generations of the Segeren family working on laying down sewage pipes. To the right is Claire, and to the left is her mom, and though this photo doesn’t necessarily look it, it signified an important milestone in the project.

Since early March, the team has been busy digging up old sewage pipes from the ground – by hand, no less! Since some of them were broken, they just decided to replace all of them. And keeping with their eco-conscious mentality, they upcycled the old ceramic pipes into planters.
